Consumer Guide to Dentistry served approximately 107,000 unique visitors in January, a 62% increase over the previous January, according to Google Analytics. The record month bests the previous high of approximately 89,000 unique visitors in October 2008.

Use of the website’s cosmetic dentist directory is up 131% over last year, while page views of the before-and-after gallery are up 126%. The most popular articles registering triple-digit percentage gains were those about dental insurance, TMJ, and oral cancer.

Recent additions to the site’s 100+ pages content include articles on temporary restorations, mouth guards and “minimal prep” veneers.

Consumer Guide to Dentistry is published by Access Media’s sister company, Ceatus Media Group.

GP Locator Launches for Consumers

The Contact Lens Manufacturers Association has begun its consumer launch of a directory of eye care professionals (ECPs) who prescribe and/or fit GP contact lenses.

The directory has been live for use by ECPs on the GP Lens Institute website since early 2008, and now has more than 1100 listings.  Practitioners can be searched by name, state (alphabetical by city) or zip code.  A zip code search lists the closest 25 practitioners within a 100-mile radius.
