New Articles: IOLs for Cataract Surgery

Two new articles have expanded All About Vision’s cataract section with comprehensive explanations of presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses (IOLs) for cataract surgery.

Presbyopia causes near vision focusing problems beginning at around age 40.

If you need cataract surgery, you also may want your presbyopia corrected so that you can see at multiple distances.

Crystalens and accommodating IOLs potentially can provide focus at all distances by shifting with the movement of eye muscles. Multifocal IOLs have different zones, which provide vision at near, intermediate and far ranges.
