Earlier this year, Ceatus Media Group successfully launched directory listings that are embedded in content pages on Consumer Guide to Dentistry.  Now the company has extended that functionality to Refractive Surgery News and Breast Implants 4 You.

By automatically detecting a visitor’s “IP address” — which approximates a geographical location — the sites can then display surgeon or dentist directory listings of the closest practice.  Three listings are typically displayed in the right column of existing article pages, and visitors can click to the full directory for additional listings.

IP-served directory listings leverage the millions of existing page views on Ceatus sites to create additional visibility for listed surgeons and dentists, while at the same time customizing the visitor experience with local, more-relevant content — a winning proposition for both directory clients and site visitors.

All About Vision served more than 300,000 unique visitors for the week ending March 12, marking a new milestone for visitor traffic.  Visitors were up slightly the following week, for a second consecutive 300,000-visitor week.

For the first 10 full weeks of the year, unique visitors are up 13% compared with the same period in 2010, and average time on page is up almost 8%.  More than five million page views were served during the period.
