Refractive Surgery News now offers a surgeon directory where each practice profile includes a video produced by Ceatus Media Group. The directory went live earlier this month and now includes 11 markets.

The video directory is the first of its kind in the eye care field.

Ceatus Media Group has acquired the web-based assets of My Choice Medical Holdings from Vertrue, Inc. The assets consist of 23 websites — including breastimplants4you.com, newimage.com and facialplasticsurgery.net — that offer extensive information about plastic surgery and other cosmetic enhancement procedures.

The acquisition leverages the company’s leading position in online plastic surgery education as publisher of  Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery.

Most of the content in the acquired websites focuses on popular subjects such as breast implants, facial plastic surgery, facelift and rhinoplasty. Ceatus plans to refresh and re-launch the sites, beginning with breastimplants4you.com to coincide with the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery meeting in April 2010.

Just in time for spring - the popular season for wedding planning - Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery has introduced a new article: Wedding Beauty Makeovers: Cosmetic Surgery Before the Wedding.

The article outlines beautification tips for the bride and groom before the big day. These tips include information about anti-aging procedures, such as Restylane or Botox injections, that can help eliminate or reduce facial wrinkles or frown lines, as well as laser hair removal that can eliminate unwanted arm or facial hair.

The article also describes the benefits of surgical procedures, such as liposuction or breast enlargement, that can help the bride and groom look their best on the honeymoon.

Consumer Guide to Plastic Surgery is published by Access Media’s sister company, Ceatus Media Group.

Consumer Guide to Dentistry served approximately 107,000 unique visitors in January, a 62% increase over the previous January, according to Google Analytics. The record month bests the previous high of approximately 89,000 unique visitors in October 2008.

Use of the website’s cosmetic dentist directory is up 131% over last year, while page views of the before-and-after gallery are up 126%. The most popular articles registering triple-digit percentage gains were those about dental insurance, TMJ, and oral cancer.

Recent additions to the site’s 100+ pages content include articles on temporary restorations, mouth guards and “minimal prep” veneers.

The new Cataract Surgeon Directory on All About Vision is now live.

Ceatus Media Group, an affiliate of Access Media Group, will launch a Directory of Cataract Surgeons on All About Vision in early 2009.

Ceatus already operates the highly successful All About Vision LASIK Surgeon Directory, which was launched in 2004. That directory serves more than 100 US markets and includes sections for Canada, Europe, Mexico, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific region.

The new Directory will leverage traffic from the Cataracts content section of All About Vision.  The entry page to that section is currently one of the top 10 most-visited pages on the site.
